When I am gone those files will probably be melted down to make cell phones, lol.
Children were not in the cards for me Lee.Not if ya raise your son right...
Sorry Joe, it does get messy, I promise……just can’t stand it to stay that way.Spence, your workspace is way too anal for us folks. Mess it up a little for your next picture please![]()
No worries bud, hell I am only here because my mother told the old man, “we are either having a kid or I am out of here”. Lucky for me dad really loved mom.Ohhhh.....sorry man...
Oh yeah, the old man could barely handle me, any more would have pushed him over the edge.LOL!! Good for Mom...were you an only child?

Thanks, I have know idea if it will work properly, it should but the proof won’t come until the needle drop.Love it!! Overengineered and just right!!!!!!!!!!
Dang…had not seen those, simple and effective. Would have been a lot less work too. Might buy a set and compare them against my RN engineering since they are relatively cheep.Looks like you’re set now but I was going to suggest the TangSpinner feet.
Plastic bit is screwed to the base and then the aluminum cone threads onto that for height adjustment.
And now, I want one, which I will cover with model parts to make it look more like the millennium falcon. Maybe a dust cover with an imperial star destroyer on it that hovers overhead…
You surely must have one of these:...millennium falcon...imperial star destroyer...that hovers overhead…
Never knew they existed, pretty cool. You surely must have one of these:
BTW, I love how anal @NeverSatisfied and you are about details. Excellent work...from both of you!
True but the whole thing is made out of aluminum so there’s that. I guess I was just thinking it would look more finished in metal than painted wood. I like the sandwich idea, will definitely think about that.Yes, I've seen those (but don't own any)
You may want to consider sticking with wood, or a wood/aluminum sandwich for the armboard, depending on how far out in the wind it ends up being. Aluminum rings like a bell, and that may not work out for you in that application. Maybe a carbon sheet/aluminum sandwich but machining carbon sheet is an absolute NIGHTMARE. But I think you are going to want some sort of constrained layer construction for that.
