Just thought ya'll might like to see where Linda and Val wound up. Linda is on the right. This month is the 2 year anniversary of the Val (left) rebuild. The center 400 didn't have a name tag so it doesn't have a name. Both girls got complete full comp White Oak rebuilds. All have Don's DCP mod. The center amp is driving the subwoofer.
Still working on the wall cabinet. All three amps have Joe's meter boards. Couldn't decide on clear, warm, or blue LEDs.
The sound from these amps are incredibly clear, clean and powerful. Even the sub amp (original control board and backplane) is dead silent with no input. I credit that to Joe's PS upgrade and grounding changes required for Don's DCP install.

We have evolved.

Aluminum foil wrapped fuses don’t sound good. We use copper tubing now.

(sniff uses oxygen free copper tubing)

KABOOM for sure. I'm thinking there were 6, 1000uf caps before a cap disintegrated and the fuse blew. Bet that ruined a pair of underwear!!
