I do not have the wings attached. I have seen them, but do not have them. I have a pair of Line Arrays, a pair of Martin Logans and a pair of Altec A-7's all in my front speaker area..no room for wings..

The A-7 was not intended to be a full range speaker. There is another speaker cabinet to handle the low frequencies. I don't have a sub at this point, but will have sometime in the future...I know I need one really badly. Kevin has one that we built using the Lambda Acoustics 15" sub driver, and it makes all the difference in the world. His system rocks..mine not so much..I have everything above probably 50-60 hz covered, but I do need a sub to get down into the 20-30 hz area...I do know what I am missing...

Lee, I talked to Ming the oriental fella and he still has the Imperials and they are all original. He wants 16 to 20,000 for the pair. If you want I can PM his phone # if you want to talk to him

Nope, not for that. the original woogfs were not up to the cabinet, and until recently one could not be found for the right mixture of cabinet volume and loading. The cabinet and idea itself had to wait for woofer technology to catch up.

Men You can put different drivers in the voice of the theaters and you will get thundering bass but will lose the detailed mid-bass. I put some CV 15 in them and the bass was outstanding with no need for a sub, but lacked the mid-bass. 6 of 1 half dozen of the other?

Yeah Mark, could b. this guy tested over a hundred different woofs, and had to change the mids on some.

With the 700 driving the subs and the Paradign control you can smoothly blend the sub to the altec's without losing any of the mid-base. If I use the turntable or reel to reel there is not much that goes through the sub even with my pioneer RG-1. With the CD its night and day.

Its adjustable from 30 to 150, also the phase from 0 to 180 degree's and the volume from 0-25. I normally use 80 as the roll off depending on the music. Also Ming told me that the EV Pitcarins blow away the Jensens?

That's open for debate i suppose mark, but the imperials are quite something. I think you mean the Patricians? I've heard good things about them. Can ya believe it. we are talking about designs by the founders of audio speaker design and pondering the points of each, some 60 years later. Good stuff.

Time to update your avvie, can't see a WOPL 1000 in ther    e!!

Na, he just needs a set of K-Horns, then the rest of his stuff will be redundant.
