The fumes would probably still attack the foam even in a plastic bag. We make packing this way with a garbage bag and spray the foam into the bag. It makes a nice form fit for packing.

Jim

Did that with the Spec stuff and the Cabbage Case RTP sent. Works very well.

Think I will coat my mold with resin first. Then bring it to a high shine see if that will stop the sticking. I have a maroon granite dye coming. This resin is suppose to have very low fumes. I have a fan going and the HEPA filter on high. Will help but won't stop them. LOL

There is some cloth laying on the plinth. That is Kevlar cloth. The TT is .75 high. I'm going to flush mount it. Was wondering how I was going to fence it. The light bulb shined brightly. I'll make a fence out of the cloth. Now the bulb went dim. Or Dim wit. LMBO

Resin gets here today. Will see how I do. Need some tongue depressors. You can make a tongue depressor in to a lot of things. You can stir, trowel, depth check, shims. Whatever blows your bloomers. LOL

One ton?? Geezus that's a lot of fumes!

When stationed in Diego Garcia, Avionics division (me) worked out of these "trailers/vans". Whole bunch of them connected together with shore power hooked to the sides. The air was extremely laden with salt (hell.. it was an island!), so there was a full time crew always chipping, grinding, and yes.. painting. They used the same crap as what was on the birds, and man when those fumes got into the recirc... it was bad.

I used to shoot targets with a guy who was avionics for our local F-18's, great guy and a fine shot, he was sent over seas a few times. I think he is retired now. I just saw in the paper he ran a 45 out of 50 in league shooting. He got sent to Arkasas to work with the Warthogs, he came back speaking quite highly of them.

I have used MEK w/o gloves. My hands turned translucent. You could see every vein and artery in my hands. We had big paint curtains to protect us. LOL We would be hanging flight controls as they painted them. We had to balance them after they painted them. Resin is here. 3 drops of red. Looks sort of like Candy. Very fast cure. Need to slow it down. LOL Isn't B always the catylist? Hardner is easier to spell.
