Ken Nelson's Phase Linear 3300 ser II Pre-amp

It was a partial piece of the db range switch on a Pioneer RG 1 dynamic processor. The holes on the far edge line up with the holes in the 3300PCB. It will be stood off with those 4 leads and 1 standoff opposite the in leads.

So what happened to the dynamic processor?

I saw what you did and that is a cool way to make it happen - the legs were way too short to do anything much different. So that was three PP 10uF caps in parallel for the two caps that were replaced?

Yes, 3 per channel. The RG 1 was lost in the same fire my Denon DP-1500 TT with he Blackwidow tone arm was burnt in.

Nice way to gang up those caps Lee, makes it look very nice. Almost like it was supposed to be that way in the first place.

Thanks guys,I had to ponder on that one awhile, had to think off the PCB so to speak....

It would have been nice for Phase to put space for decent components on the main board given the amount of dead space on that huge PCB :-)

What were they thinking?

Redy to add the 2nd floor "Gang 'o Caps"...

Much nicer resistors in there now Lee...

I was thinking of using some RNC55's in my 3300 and from what I see the 0.125A rating (military watts) should work and they are MF types. I'll need to get some PP caps though and replace the four ICs. Thanks for all of your inputs Joe.

Cap bank leaded up and teflon insulated (thanks Dennis, GOOD stuff)

What on earth is that girl up to?! :-P

She obviously needs an extraction tool, she's got the wrong angle for a pullout.
