I know, used to live in Jesup, Ga for a few years. You know us Southerners, we are all about to freeze to death when it drops below 50 deg.F.
Don't let nobody fool ya. It does get cold here. The moisture in the air or whatever. I have worked up North in New England/ Up state NY/ Pennsylvania and there was a shitload of snow and it was cold as a well diggers ass. But, there is something about the cold down here when it really does get cold...
Don't think I've ever been colder than working at Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant in January/February. On the Tennessee River and cotton fields as far as the eye can see - that wind made it bitter cold.
Seeing a California plate in our neck of the woods at this time of year is usually chesp entertainment. In Dallas (my prior residence) it seemed like 3 visible snowflakes resulted in the locals stripping the grocery stores bare, and heading for the ditches. For a northern native, it was like watching a Benny Hill skit (well, unless you had to be out on the road with them . . . ) *ZERO* concept of winter driving. Nada. Zilch. Zip. . . .
Same here. Hell, they slide all over the road when it rains let alone let it ice or snow! We used to go around looking for them pulling them out of the ditches. In Dallas (my prior residence) it seemed like 3 visible snowflakes resulted in the locals stripping the grocery stores bare, and heading for the ditches.
