Just received a WOPL 700 II from Lee in a cabbage box!

Full WOPL upgraded amplifiers and the great Model ONE are "Dark" amplifiers. With power on, all cables connected, volume down, and close to the speakers - there is nothing there. No hum, no hiss, no buzz, no crackle, no pop, nothing. Does not matter if you just turned the amplifier on or it has been on all day.
Not many amplifiers can make that claim, especially tube amplifiers.
Agreed. Every amplifier I have EVER had in the office I can hear something from the speakers. Only the WOPL has none, nothing. I am really enjoying it more than I would have ever realized. It absolutely has to be listened to to understand and I know that now. So, time to check myself... I brought one of my "Audiophile" buds over today and he couldn't believe it.

I can attest tothefact that they (The Ones) can beat a set 2000 watt 15' woofs into submission...
Mark, Joe or Eric what is output at 0db?
Pink Floyd Sorrow-Pulse is just incredible at 300 to 400 watts...
The Ones do this without sounding constrained or overwhelmed...just clean kickass....
Over at Randy's now....
I've pulled the retirement chain. Not entirely, but not everday at 5am anymore. 50-1/2 yrs is enough. Special projects like acid jobs ,fluid levels, dynomometers, etc will still get me out of the house .
Time to play.....

Had no idea a set of K's could sound like this in a trailer house...goose pimple stuff...
And a "One" is not overkill on the mids.. .its perfect..
Congratulations Lee,
It's an adjustment, but when it's time....you know. I'm so busy after retiring, I don't know how I did it all those years.
Wish you the very best !

Good Lord now you are going to be so busy you wont ever have any time Lee! I thought the same as Joe BTW. Very humble of you to hide the retirement in an audio thread... It's going to be GREAT! Big Huge Congrats! You have DAMN sure earned it!

Yeah, not doing mental gymnastics when the phone rings, seeing scada alarms at 2:30 am, having to call Jani and tell her it'll be midnight before i get in......i can deal with that. Jani has sacrificed a lot of us time to the oilfield and she damn sure has some coming. She's been so good about it for forty of those years...

Hell, they slide all over the road when it rains let alone let it ice or snow!
About those Californians, with rain only from late October to early April in the East Bay, I had good, deep treaded tires on one car and would drive the other one nearly to the cords showing but only in the dry summer months. That odd short downpour one day caught me out and the quick rain brought up lots of oils and such from the roadway. That was a fun drive home. Yes, folks that don’t see rain/snow for months completely forget how to drive in those conditions.
