Just received a WOPL 700 II from Lee in a cabbage box!

If the road gets a little wet here in the ABQ metro somebody has to go and roll their car on the freeway.....we'll maybe I'm exaggerating a bit.

But there was this day in late in Oct 2020 where there was a freak weather event. Already a shitty day in the mid 40s (October in Central NM normally has highs between high 60s and low 80s) I left work at 4:30 and it was 43 and in a about 20 minutes it dropped to 28. Road flash froze and was slicker than a gut. Spun out mustangs, chargers, 300s, and 3/4 ton 4wd pickups everywhere. Every road outta ABQ was a parking lot. I didn't get home til 9:30, I ended up following the snow plows on I25 to get home finally. I didn't lose traction once cuz I was in the lesbosled lol

I've heard horror stories about the roads when there's. 00001 inches of snow in Atlanta......

I can attest tothefact that they (The Ones) can beat a set 2000 watt 15' woofs into submission...
Mark, Joe or Eric what is output at 0db?
Pink Floyd Sorrow-Pulse is just incredible at 300 to 400 watts...
The Ones do this without sounding constrained or overwhelmed...just clean kickass....
Over at Randy's now....
I've pulled the retirement chain. Not entirely, but not everday at 5am anymore. 50-1/2 yrs is enough. Special projects like acid jobs ,fluid levels, dynomometers, etc will still get me out of the house .
Time to play.....

Had no idea a set of K's could sound like this in a trailer house...goose pimple stuff...
And a "One" is not overkill on the mids.. .its perfect..
This was always a fav of mine as well, but running more like 2700 watts into a 7+1 DTS/THX surround system with mainly EV and EAW speakers . . . and 120" HD projection.

Soooo....what is output at 0db??
The 400 Watt Dummy Load that I connected to one channel of the Model ONE got too hot to touch after just a few seconds. It also blew the 10 Amp Fuse in the Model ONE (Joe said that it was because I fed it a 1 kHz sine wave), a 1 Volt continuous wave into the Model ONE would likely draw 25 Amps. We should ask Joe for a Technical Spec of HIS Model ONE.

I need a bigger Dummy Load if you want to know what a Model ONE can do at 0db, and a 30 Amp fuse!.
Likely it would be too loud into the Klipschorns that you would have to leave the room and never be able to read the Wattmeter.

Lee, are you ready for these now that you are semi-retired?

Asses?

(And now, a man with three buttocks…)

Well, my father-in-law had three kidneys. Both type of kidney stones, too. He was a pretty nice guy but he could be a real joy to be around some days.

I won’t get retirement. I get expirement.

That's become my plan. Though I get enough time off for travel and I'm not going out to oil rigs in the middle of the night, so I'm enjoying it. Keeps me occupied and out of jail.

I just heard James Taylor for the first time last night! I have a few of his albums and all of his other stuff on CD/.FLAC and have been listening to him for as long as I can remember BUT, I just heard him for the first time last night! Thanks to LASH!

I just heard James Taylor
He lives out on Cape Cod and has an elevator in his house. My brother is an elevator mechanic, licensed in Mass.
He did some work on the elevator and also an inspection/certification for free. Mr. Taylor was so impressed, he asked my brother if he wanted to see the "Guitar Room". It was also his bedroom. My brother is not a musician so he did not really know what he was looking at that afternoon. Mr. James said there have been about five people who have seen that room in 20 years.
