Believe me, I didn't fall for it then nor now LOL. Next thing you'll ask me to go find 15 feet of gigline and a wire stretcher while I'm at it.

Reverse bias a resistor... yeah ok... :rr:

Flood of memories, Jer. Bucket of steam, a new fallopian tube for the radar, relative bearing grease, a mechanic's punch, left handed torque wrench, an AC battery, relay fluid, non-sparking copper magnet, the golden rivet, key for the vapor lock, metric adjustable wrench, prop wash, so many others...

BTW- there is such a thing as a wire stretcher. Barb wire fences require a wire stretcher.

LOL... yeah.. now "trannie screwer" has at least TWO meanings..

Got all the outputs in.. all ready to rumble. I was doing a lil bit of reworkin on the PLWO driver board....

And off came the emitter pin on Q5R!!! :angryfire:

Yep, I'm a tranny screwer alright.. 2N3439, eh? Any matching needed?

(m.. fer.... mumble mumble..... grr.. sonofa.... )

I hate it when a trannie breaks a leg like that. No matching needed on that one but you really should use a 2N3439. It is one of the few that has 150-200V across the Emitter and Collector. But it has a Vceo of 350V so it works.

Do ya have a spare? I can drop one in the mail if ya need it.

Well actually soundude gets props for this. After removing the Direct/normal switch on most 700's they are noisy if not loaded (or loaded enough) he suggested a 47K ohm between in signal + and ground. They quiet, like graveyard, after that.
