Zorched IC or something downstream...

I noticed that the both the 400s and 700s had a better frequency response that the pre! Preamps should be as good if not better than the amplifier. A testament to Joe's knowledge and design skills.
 
Done, running the FR curve now...

Guys, you just witnessed a 1db jump on the fly!! That's what I love about this place,. Jase this will now more closely match the FR of your soon to be WOPL'd 700...

Yep, time for a White Oak pre to do the WOPL's justice...or a Spec 1 or so....nothing zorched Nav, not enough generator input!
 
BEAT THE PUBLISHED 10HZ spec BY 2-1/2db, and the 80k spec by a 1/2db!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Time to plug this inti Johan's 700......BTW....residual noise was 56uv....IEC weighted....
 
Sounds real good, not quite as bassy as the Spec 1 but DAYAM close!!!! Jase, a very nie pre now!!


No hum, buzz or anything, a black hole for a background...

Glad to see you got the stfu in there Lee. That is what I was expecting... :-)
 
Putting the covers back on and getting it back in the box to ship it in the morning. You noticed every 2 out of 3 screws were stripped out? Going back with the next size in a metric. It'll be tight now.
