That can be from a shorted driver, output, front diff pair in backwards, etc, So.... you've got 120DC on the rails????? AND GET SOME INSULATED MINI GRABBERS!!!!!! Jeez man!!!~ This amp my have been fine before you tested it. I'll post a pic of what the business end of your testleads should look like.

BTW ----that was the correct place to check bias. With the amp POWERED DOWN AND POWER SUPPLY CAPS DISCHARGED WITH YOUR DISCHARGING RESISTOR THAT YOU HAVE BUILT ALREADY, (post a pic of that would you), put the neg lead of your meter on the collector bus bar( that woukld be the middle one on each row, and the positive lead on the common point for the emitter resistors. On ohms scale, lowest setting. we are checking for shorted outputs and drivers.

Oh no, he started it and he's gonna finish it. Reminds me a lot of me. Kinda like jumping in the water, it's nice to know how to swim, but if ya don't, ya better be a quick learner.

Ok Mark. He didn't have a service manual. He will now. Will save a lot of redundant posts if he can refer to a service manual. Phase wrote a good manual.

Hey guys,

I am still in Florida. I'm scheduled to drive home on Thursday....but we'll see. Don't know how many more times Ill get to see my parents. Their health is really in decline. It is so tough..I ail get a pic of a big resistor for ya Lee...and you are right. The voltages are DEADLY. A Service Manual with all updates really is a must when you think about it. If anyone has a full set, I would gladly pay to get a copy. PM me and I can give you my address and get your PayPal address. It might save a bunch of posts and really dumb questions...

Aren't thaw majority of them going to be the second one? The first board is not even replaceable by the White Oak board, is it? Somebody help me with this, because I haven't specified yet...And both versions cover the PL14A right?
