Fishoz's PL 400 Conversion

Did you blow her up yet???

The only thing I don't want to hear is that you're keeping her.

Lee is like Danny on Counts Kustoms...

Goes out and buys a car to cherry it out and then keeps it for his collection :-)

Can he handle the truth? (Edit to add a rimshot)

Well.......been beating the shot outta it for two nights and it's hanging in there like a champ...totally awesome machine..

A few more hours of shakedown....then a different faceplate with Joe's light board and In the case it goes.
.

Didn't know you just traded your amp in for a totally different one didja? ?

Well....I did have a farewell thread for her so goodbyes were said and good things coming back. All is good!

Hookay...besides, couldn't put Joe's light board on the ol generation 1 meters....

The more I listen to an "E" board the more I like it.....Joe did REAL GOOD on the "E" board.....real good....

And the really cool part is that after a catastrophic failure of 4 outputs on the backplanes NOT A THING was zorched on the driver board. a few resistors on the backplanes and that was it. Now THAT takes some engineering prowess. if that was a PL14 board I'd still be replacing components...

With my new Acurus, and an E board WOPL, " Museum of Consciousness" is an almost religious experience at 200 watts plus....

And yes, I can clip a 400 on the K's....and it's ugly...

The anticipation is killing me. Been practicing semi-abstinence waiting for her arrival. This is going to be fun!

I better not 'F' it up then Lee...

Well, Joe, don't know how you would. It's only gotten better every time. I was pleasantly surprised at the lack of driver board damage....

And the book....
