She can make Yoko Ono sound good!!!

Aint done listening yet. The soundstage on PB's Companion was unbelievable. I literally turned around at the end applause thinking there was someone behind me. High ends are clear to the peak. The bass is crisp, not boomy, I'm afraid to crank it for fear of structural damage.

Just started serious listening though. Spent a good part of my time re soldering my speaker connections. A lot of time positioning the speakers....more of that later. A little VM "Moondance" playing now.

some set up pics...

I gotta ask - what's with the interconnects? Reminds me of something someone showed me years ago that he made with a strand of silver wire, next to no shielding and all loosely slid inside clear vinyl tubing.

Exactly. Silver wire threaded through Teflon tubing. My interconnect between the pre and amp.

Getting into a little Floyd DS. The detail in so nice. Never knew the high pitch whine in the background of cut two was a jet engine. I'm blown away and haven't even given her the heat yet.

Jeez, and I've got Kimber PBJ's but haven't used them between pre and power because of perceived hum inducement. That person I mentioned made his for millivolt signals from cartridge to head amp and head amp to pre. I thought once conducting whole volts, interconnects should be more robust.

Welcome to the WOPL World Fish! That amp will make you smile so much, your face will crack!!!!!

To this day, I have never heard a better sounding amp, the volume knob beckons Brother

CRANK THAT BITCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some low listening featuring some of the girls tonite. So far Phoebe Snow, Linda Ronstadt....more to follow.

Clarity is excellent, crisp and defined. This amp is not just for the crankers.

Blue Bayou...oh so fine. Waiting for the last note......yeah...kicked it up a notch.

Back later. Think I'll throw on some Patricia Barber next, maybe some Midler.
