Dazen’s Digest

I'd be keen to hear more about this - especially work on boomboxes.

So you do like boomboxes Daren, isn't it? I do like them a lot and i owned several, well not the best models but there are great ones able to compete with good cassette decks. I feel like i need one right now. :-P

I had a brilliant Panasonic one in the early 1990s. Double cassette, tuner but NO CD - I cannot remember the model # at this present moment.

I'm not normally into vintage stuff but if I could find a really good (serviced) one today I'd be very tempted to buy it.

Panasonic did some great devices indeed, even if with not with CD player you can use an external unit to record on tape after all :)

I like this kind of SHARP, they always did attractive and reliable stuff...

The best boombox I heard was from a Sharp.

Again, I cannot remember the model (although it was quite small) but the sound was incredibly powerful.

Nakamichi goes digital

You gotta love the specs for this thing!

Interesting device. Doesnt really appeal to me though. Any idea of a price tag Daren?

That Nak is well over ten years old Ben! Part of their SoundSpace range from around the turn of the century (I think) and was several hundred $ at the time.

But think - 64MB...

How capacious is that? :-D
