There is something special about vinyl but I still prefer my compact discs.

Records are nice but they get dusty, worn out and all that surface noise...

And new ones are bloody expensive!

Yes, they play so special,,, and i thought they get dusty and wear out, not so true after all and i have old ones played a lot with those record grinders at 10+ gr VTF,,, i cleaned them well and they play so sweet with my good turntable right now and with little noise, i'm surprised how the good sound stayed hidden there for me to discover it after all those years... :-P

Yes, new records are too expensive indeed and maybe not so good quality like the older ones.

Thank you, Daren. I love vinyl, even with all its imperfections. The producer and engineer, Marco Migliari, featured in the video, gave a technical and organic explanation to the vinyl experience. I wouldn't know how to explain it like he did.

On one of my many trips into Innovative Audio, Gordon, myself, and another patron were talking about music on vinyl and we all shared the same level of enthusiasm for our record collections. I said, "But, sometimes the odd click and pop from playing a record just drives me crazy, no matter how much I clean it." Gordon says succinctly, " Put it this way, Nando: you go to a concert or opera and you are immersed in the pleasure of taking it all in. Somebody coughs - does that mean you leave? Or do you continue to listen and enjoy the moment?

Good story.

As I get older, I find myself concentrating more on the music and less on the quality of the sound. Audio nirvana is a myth.

I still love my CDs though!

Miles: I don't believe there's a mix out there recorded by you for any of us that you didn't put your heart into. I got the humour, but I know you well enough to know the difference. Besides, Mediocre Miles isn't a title that fits you.

Baaahahaha. I love how they include a pair of classic high top brooks in the picture. Brooks are for crooks is the saying now. Only people wearing them are in jail.

And I agree Daren, that thing is hideous. :sign11:
