You are the "King".

I am just a casual observer!
After custumizing these pair of vintage cans (mounted some new and some AWESOME! sounding drivers in it, replaced the earpads by new ones and did a complete re-cable job) they became my favourites to use immediately....

Miles,

Remind me again how many headphones you have...
At the moment: 13 pair of cans.....

Yep, but you have to admit: those ones have THE looks......

... and the sound.
Yep.

+ You are listening to uncompressed digital so it is going to sound good.

There must be so many people out there with fancy headphones who only ever listen to low bit-rate files. What is the point!!

I have not used headphones since I had a Sony Walkman back in the 80s :laughing9:
To be honest, I try and keep my use of them to a minimum where possible. I want to preserve my hearing.

For some music though, headphones are a must.

90% of the time I listen via speakers.

It depends how you're using them... I do use them very often for studio purposes and I passed my last hearing test (as part of a medical examination to keep my pilot license valid) without any problems.

I always restrict my listening sessions to short periods but in some ways that makes it more enjoyable.
