I think they are but who knows. I'll go back and look at the parts breakdown.

Maybe I can take it apart and repair it. I know that it was a common failure for these amps. I read that they were an issue but never saw if anybody fixed one. Time for more investigation.

I'll have to see what the DC voltage is coming to the unit. I know on the original one It says INV 0114 so it must be an inverter. The MJE15028 has 24VDC to the collector and 15VDC to the base with a pot for adjustment.

what are the chances of it being a 12vdc unit? That would be to easy. AND, is it a DC to AC or a DC to DC or????? DigiKey and Mouser carry thousands of these.

That's what color it already is. I think I'll hook up my ac power supply to it and see what happens.

I'll have to see if my ac power supply goes up high enough, EL panels can take upwards of 100VAC.
