Carys

Well they are there. Output terminals were lose. Something is rattling in them. I heard that when I packed them. Hope my new tubes make it ok. They went in a different box.

LOL But I'm not a 1%er. So it will never get to me.

Evidently 1%er means something different to each of us. I am an independant (ain't no Diamond Back), around here the 1%ers are the Outlaws, Black Pistons and the Iron Sleds, I know a few of them and they are ok, but when together as a group they are not always good guys.

Well they are working on them. They are going to put the bias in. They were biased at 100 ma. Which is twice what they are suppose to be. So you were getting microphony through them. Yes I would say they were running a little hot. LOL They are going to install the bias jack so I can bias them out. They have them playing in their demo room right now. He said they are sounding very good.

Not sure if they had swapped tubes yet. That question seems to be getting dodged. HMMM

No you were getting noise from the plates being to hot. They are going to fix the lights to tell you the plates are good to go.

Maybe I'll have them back next week.

Coolness. Was the non-adjustable bias a mistake they didn't catch??

HMMMMMMMMMMM....................................

Well that sucks and is good news all in one. Atleast they figured out that the wookie hair covered tubes were running too hot though.

Yes on the power tubes are sensitive to it. Some not as much as other. But if the bias is off it will change the sound for sure.
