LM3914 - 10 segments per IC, and they can be daisy chained for more (hmmm!)..

Welp, the 14's done.. backplanes I'll save for next week..
The board is looking real good Jer - nice job. I'm thinking maybe two segments per channel would be more better.

Thinking out loud have you considered multicolored LED's? Transitioning from one power level to another the LED changes color - I've seen this in different design applications and thought it could be an interesting twist with a power output signal but I know the IC won't support this.

I'm looking forward to seeing how everything works out here.

Have fun with this man.

Has anyone put any thought into trying to use meter's and L.E.D.s? I guess they would both have to be "always on" unless some sort of switching was implemented. I do enjoy having both meters and L.E.D.s.

Waiting on a few things like Joe's new enclosure, and getting the gumption to either making that final rip/cut into the faceplate or having someone do it.

You're supposed to do that stuff like drywall. Punch a much bigger hole than you need in vaguely the right area, then just smash mud in it until its back to the size it should be. JB Weld is sort of grey, it won't look any worse than Maaco bodywork.

I like to be "exact" sometimes LOL...

Here is one the boards, back from fab'in. Dunno "where" but pretty dang cool! Guess I'll populate one, but the LED's I have are HUGE... They'll have to be direct mounted with point to point between them and the PCB...

Wow - you weren't kidding. Those are big ass LEDs.

I was wondering what you were going to do to get the spacing. Good idea and I can't wait to see them in action.
