700B WOPL Audition List

He said RCA are not grounding correctly. I'm gonna switch cables and wiggle them around and see if I can find the culprit

That's a lot of money for caps and transistors, did he replace any outputs?

Jason, don't do any wiggling on the amp side, you might create a problem while figuring out a problem. Do the RCA's on the receiver seem to move at all when you "wiggle" them. Is the hum in BOTH channels or just one?

A thousand dollar Mouser box.....

no everything is tight.im using audio quest ic and they are tight as hell on pole.and they dont wiggle at all!! and yes its both channels

Yes I did, and that's a pretty decent price for what he did. I would not have done it for that..

The price was right, AND you have hum, the dreaded hum monster, has driven many a good man crazy...

I have had so many hum issues over the years. Isolating the hum has sometimes been problematic. Even still I get noise from the electrical in here. Old panel, likely shitty wiring, as well as, poor circuit runs. I have lived in a lot of places in the last 10 years. Only place I had good electrical was in a room I reno'd in a place I lived at. I had installed 4 isolated circuits with 4" boxes and plaster rings allowing for 2 recepticals on each box.
