700B WOPL Audition List

Start with those volume pots all the way down and work up..

This is basically a design from 1969. You'd think they would have come up with something better..by now

But yeah, that's the striking difference, clarity, now the FC version is even clearer....

For me it's the bass, when you can outbass a Spec 2 that's saying something...

Spec 2's are damn good and were top dog around here for 33 years, until a WOPL'D 700 got plugged in....

Yeah I can't wait to hear the fc version of this !!from the way you guys talk its and what Ron has wrote it sounds like a smoother approach . An I right in assuming that.

I have my speakers around 10 ft apart and can sit 4 to 5 feet back and still have amazing soundstage. The imaging is there but that's where I think a badass pre would show itself well.

Clearer.....smoother........yeah in a way, it's really hard to describe, but the overall effect is better to my ears...but the QC versions are no slouch either as you can tell. But the fully comp versions DO OPEN UP the soundstage, probably the biggest improvement...

Do you think the new ones would be worth or able to add a replaceable cord. So you could use a aftermarket power cord??

I'll put whatever you want on it but the ground terminal will be inert...

Oh ok ic . I just wondered. Because I am a believer in good interconnects. I have audio quest power cables . On my jolida I didn't notice much change but on my powered sub it really tightened the bass up. The audio quest interconnects I use were like 100$ a pair and it really did make a noticeable diff in my system! And the same with my wireworld speaker wire. It did help the image

Send what ever power cord you wish to have on it, I'll make it fit..

Larrt made me a believer in good interconnects. He sent me a pair of Tara-Labs,, ten minutes later I ordered 10 pair...
