Yes, Maxell XL-IIS are my best. My Technics love them. Along with the simpler XL-II, they make the most accurate recordings compared to the original source. TDK SA-XS comes second but very hard to find and very expensive.

As long as they are using high resolution digital formats, I guess it's ok. Very few people (if any) can hear the difference between a 192/24 and a pure analog track. The point is if such high resolution format was used or they went with lower?
