You'll have Blackie to abuse next week Jer, that should hold you over for a bit until your backplanes come. She likes to be beaten, she begs to be beaten LMAO

Just keep it from her about Sally being Full Comp, Blackie might get insecure in her Quasiness and decide to go all out on your D9's!!!!

Ok, tossed some ZZ Top into the dbx DX5 and laid a little more into it

Initial impressions of the amp... Jer a bit back described it as "majestic". I know what he means now, the soundstage envelopes you, it's so wide. Blackie seems to hit harder on the low end but somehow, Sally spreads everything out??? The lowend is definitely there, the entire house is shaking but it seems tighter, like I could just keep turning the preamp and not worry about tripping the speaker protections. I tried using the Sonic Hologram on my preamp and without, both delivered awesome sound but the WOPL seems to thrive with it on. Going to try some fast tight hard hitting thrash metal shortly but I for one cannot overstate how incredible these WOPL amps are. This is number two for me and I have a feeling there will be more. They are intoxicating and I can't think of any amps that I coveted before that I would even bother with. I thought about one of the big Yamaha Integra's with the big meters but why bother? They can't touch one of these, not even remotely

EDIT: With the inclusion of the C1 preamp, what jumps out most is how transparent, how dynamic sounding and fast reacting to transients and the almost seemingly endless headroom WOPL's have on tap. Add the huge soundstage and all that is left is figuring out how far apart you can get your main speakers without the old lady freaking out. I wish I could put one on either end of the house

Hooked up the C1 to see if there is a difference in sound, I don;t notice anything off the bat, the C1 has far more Hologram settings though so I will experiment. I am not using any tyoe of tone controls with this amp, it does not need them

Running nice and cool, have not even fired the fans up and she's been running near flat meters through 6 songs

It must give you such a huge sense of satisfation to build something like this with your own hands Jer. I mean the end product is just so incredible sounding. Five Stars to you Brother, what a wonderful piece of equipment you build :glasses8:

Very happy Lee, she had a good workout this morning!

Jason, Blackie is getting a facelift and the fuse holders need to be addressed. That's it, she's perfect otherwise

Man, been cranking Aerosmith Live Bootleg on cd... wow, needles buried flat and she is still cool to the touch. I still have plenty on the volume dial to go but I am afraid I will hurt the meters :evil4:

Sally left a message on your phone Jason, a VERY LOUD message
