[h=1]PowerPAC 60 Monaural Amplifier[/h]The Bryston PowerPAC 60 is a perfect choice for use as a portable power amplifier which can be attached directly to the rear of your loudspeaker. This provides for the use of very short speaker leads resulting in a much improved loudspeaker/amplifier interface.
Power:
  • 60W into 8 Ohms (100W into 4 Ohms)

Features:
  • Mountable directly on loudspeakers or adjacently on a wall
  • Regulated power supplied to all voltage gain stages
  • Balanced or unbalanced input selection via switch
  • Gold plated connectors
  • Power clipping indicator

I've been very very busy today, and changed everything around and now all up and running again, using my old JansZens as mentioned in D2's JBL thread....

I've totally lost the plot....

hey everyone,

does anyone here have much to do with vet's, as in animal doctors?
my poor Bobby has a hyper thyroid condition and has to take "Neo-Mercazole" 5mg twice a day, but apparently the company that makes 'em has stopped shipment to Australia 'till next year. go figure, and i don't know why.....
anyway, there's a generic available called "Carbimazole" (5mg), but is not available in Australia.

i only just found out today when i went to get a new script for Bobby, and got told you can't get either anywhere here.

can anyone here help me at all?

i've looked online, and there seems to be plenty of generic product available at varying prices, but i just don't know if those sites are real or not!

sorry for asking but i'm really clutching at straws here..... considering wot's gonna happen if i can't find any.

Are there import restrictions??
I just don't know how it works Lee, as an online place in Canada will post to Australia no problems, (but are extremely ridiculously over priced considering it wholesales for AU$9,95) and I do have a Script for it, but I'm not sure wot will happen when it lands here as there's no one to ask until Monday, (and it's only 4.38am Sunday at the moment.)

.... but I'm desperate enough to try anything, and just face the consequences.
I figure as long as it's declared, then I shouldn't get into any trouble of illegally trying to smuggle any contraband into the country.

I just don't know, at this moment....

Sorry to hear about your dilemma G. :sad1: I'm sure you've seen these guys from India:

http://www.internationaldrugmart.com/carbimazole.shtml

The prices are right - below is a link to some reviews of this company. The reviews seem to run the full spectrum:

http://international-drug-mart-reviews.measuredup.com/3101

I found a Canadian company that sells the same drug on line but the cost was very high - probably one of the sites you found. If I anything pops up here I'll let you know.
Yes D, I found the Indian site, and that horrid Canadian site, but my only worry now is, is it legal to buy offshore?
I've just emailed our Health Dept., to see where it stands, but just found out that they take 20 days to respond to enquiries.
Not much help with this case.....

It gets grimmer by the minute, and I'm exhausted after spending the whole day making futile efforts of how to resolve this. It's just total panic mode now, and I can't think straight anymore.
I've queried a couple of 'compounding Chemist' places locally, so I'll just have to wait 'till Monday before I get any responses if at all.

Meanwhile, there's going to be an epidemic of dying cats over here soon.....
.... and no one can do shit about it.

I'm really depressed over this, and the next month will be extremely painful for both of us.
I just don't know how I'm going to get through this knowing he's not.
:(

Anyway, I'm so tired, I'm off to bed now.....
(... thanx for your input btw.)

Well, there's hope.....

A friend of mine posted my plight on his Face Book page, and he's managed to track down a bottle for me.
It's being posted first thing tomorrow.....

Fingers x-ed.

I was reading up on feline hyperthyroid and it is one of the most common medical problems that older cats develop. It seems that once you start them on meds that switching to another method to keep the problem in check is not recommended so finding a med source is great. I do find it odd that medication prescribed in Oz is now not available. I wonder why that is. Oh well - bottom line is you're getting some! :happy2:
