Have spent the last two days listening to White Oaks latest innovation for the PL's, fellers you aint gonna believe this one. It keeps getting better and better, Joe went way out there this time. I have been documenting the build for the past week. I'll thread it when Joe announces the launch. Tentative date is Monday. Stay tuned.....

Much to my despair of blowing something up, I used to love that electrical smell in my younger years :laughing9:

In the oilfield we call it the "Dead, burnt motor smell" , not to be confused with the "Dead , Burnt Mouse smell"..

When a mouse lays accross two legs of 480, the smell does not go away. something about having mouse piss flashed by plasma......

Mike, after Q10 Q5, and Q7 (o'm betting it's Q7) try the Q9,Q8. They are the protection trannies and they took a BIG HIT. Q5 might have survived.....

I know. It has something to do with the Rev A fans. But it was a long shot? Figured why not? :tongue10:

WTF is a rev A fan?? we've already tackled that, last year. You Sir, in particular are going to be very surprised considering what your guesses have been so far......

It makes maneuvering the amp soooo much easier. I`ll tackle Qs 5-10 tomorrow, wish me luck.
Luck really has nothing to do with it at this point, a good steady grip on the probe does however. I shall wish you a day of no shakes.....

Sounds like major amp surgery here, rather complex. Good entertainment :)

Revision A board fanatics Lee. Those who have had rev A boards for a while. I remember talk of beefing up the existing ones out there for those who have them.

If i'm gonna be surprised, I don't know if it's the good kind considering my guesses, or the bad kind. As in my guesses are so far off the map I am going to be surprised! :tongue10: Looking forward to it regardless.

Most of the Rev "C" improvements can be integrated into the A board. Not so with the "D" board, although the sonic diofferences can be.

You have an A board or C??

It takes time and patience to do it right but you've got to attack at the right moment. If you do it too well your posts just might wind up in the dark and dingy area. I know - I earned the right. Just ask the mods. :shaking: :la: :shaking:
