So Joe has lain down the gauntlet, suggesting (with a corresponding part number) to parallel 3 of the red caps and put them where the blue one is. The challenge has been accepted.....
Ok Lee - you have my full attention now. I'm curious how you're going to put ten pounds in a one pound sack. It's gonna be tight (not always a bad thing) but you can do it!

Ok - I thought I had you in the previous post but I'm really not familiar with "the point of knot". I could guess but we would have to go to the dark side for this one. Knot seems to imply that it's roped in - so to speak.
I have some more inspiration to send your way when the cabbage cage shows up. That's one of the reasons I send you off the wall shit. I figure the other reason is to confuse you - of course it confuses me too.
I picked up the SAE amp and the Yammie linear TT today from Dave. They are both in good condition for the price - Dave scored the Yammie PX-3 at a swap meet 5 years ago for 15 bucks!
I actually found some NOS stuff Phase Linear used in their Power Amplifier builds. Of course this is a teaser.
BTW listening to a remastered "Teaser" - Tommy Bolin CD with some bonus stuff. I forgot how good this guy was. I had both of his solo albums - but I had completely forgotten about his album "Private Eyes" as I had that one for a few months before it was stolen as was the Teaser album but I had that one for almost a year. Very good tunes.
So what does the bottom look like? The PWB bottom that is. What did you do to hold the board in place - cool way to add those as it looked like a PITA to get those bad boys in that small of a space.
So when you get all of the new components in you'll have to give us your opinion of the sound - can't wait.
Oh yeah - what board did you find to make this happen?
It was a partial piece of the db range switch on a Pioneer RG 1 dynamic processor. The holes on the far edge line up with the holes in the 3300PCB. It will be stood off with those 4 leads and 1 standoff opposite the in leads.
Ok - no big deal but when looking through a bunch of parts that will be disposed of soon I found some terminal strips that Phase used as grounding points and another type used as a more traditional terminal strip. I found them when pawing through parts bins and these jumped out. I hate to see this old stuff go - some of the items date back to the early 60's.
