Jer's 400, number TWO thread...

Ah, I color coded mine this time. That silver wire is sooooooooooooo well behaved.

Scond that, good stuff there Jer.

Joe, was that a made to order????

Exactly Nav!! Damn it's good stuff, and the selection you sent is exquisite!!

I've been lucky as I've been using this type of stranded wire for many years. It was way expensive several decades ago but now it's more affordable now. I need to get you some twisted shielded pair wire - you'll like that also. I'll send that with the Spec 2 when that all comes together. I'll get some single conductor shielded wire for you to try out.

That would be excellent..... about time to post ih your thread again isn't it???

It's getting closer - completing the last of our flight hardware and I don't like tearing down the test bench while fabricating and testing so...

Got the DCP put together tonight. Well ALMOST.. I done-dood it again and forgot to order the phoenix connectors.. :tool:

Good nuff for tonight. Beat .. bushwhacked... "work" is killin' me... :banghead:

Ok, so here's one of those decisions... I believe I have enough to at least make some sound with this guy. Now look below - see the two wirewounds in place of the normal .22 ohm resistors? I can't hang with that.. bad idear to be having them in there, right? What I am proposing is to go ahead and replace those with some leftover MOS .22's I have (see my previous 400 thread.. they are the grey/tan colored ones). For NOW.. I'll leave the rest as the old carbon types. Any risk there, folks? D board and DCP all built and ready to go in, too..

And then.. I pulled the covers on the back.. what a mishmash.. I have 410's for the right drivers, SK3560's on the left. 4 pl909's of one datecode + 2 pl909's of another on the right. and 6 sylvania ecg87's on the left. Well, that'll be "fixed" soon..

No risk with the old MO emitter resistors. No problem with mixing date codes.

count em Lee.. FOUR different models between the drivers and outputs, both channels. MJ's are going in, plus I'll see about those 410's I had yanked from the 700 when I was getting some oscillations - mebbe that was a socket problem, not really sure... :confused3::toothy10:

So you have some extra 410"s?? The ECG's are a big worry. Glad you didn't fire it...
