Well, we are back in the oil bidness. Can't believe there wasn't a comment on the cap mount.....for some reason I was expecting some spirited discussion....

I thought you did a great job on that bracket Lee. Didn't even have to add an extra hole in the chassis either to mount it.

Yep, had to utilize the tranny bolt cause it was in the bracket footprint. And, the bracket mirrored your PCB for obvious reasons. Should keep stress off the cap to cap connection. One zip tie Jer. This was the easy one, the top one will take some creativity....

Love the way the brackets turned out....
That's really innovative Lee. I can see where you had two different problems to solve. If I read correctly it seems you'll zip tie these to the brackets? I like the thought behind it and using two angle brackets allows for some adjustment - too cool.

I've been fighting the flu for well over a week now but I'm finally getting some energy back. I've been stuck indoors mostly other than visiting my horses - don't want to pass this on to anyone else. My wife visited our grandkids in Texas and came down with strep throat and the flu - she went to Urgent Care and was diagnosed with a varient that the flu shot did not cover and unfortunally she was diagnosed with strep throat to boot. The doc said welcome to Texas!

Did you still want to get some push buttons made? I will be back to work this week if all goes well and I'm curious if we can make a replacement.

Dennis, that is some SERIOUSLY NICE SLEEVING you sent, I love the stuff!! Got the AC out of the middle and running around the top. All fab work is done, going back together with LS. Initials, no name, but with how stylized the initials I'd guarantee it's a woman....

Lee - the sleeving is inexpensive but it feels like silk and takes heat like asbestos - good stuff. I've been using it for a decade or so after some experimentation we did in a high heat environment. LS - Lick Slowly??

One thing I'll do if space permits is to cut the sleeving a little long and fold the end back into the sleeving before tying it off. It gives a clean non-frayed look.

So - did you use a zip tie to hold the cap stack to your cool bracket?
