Because this is THE PL400 thread...
Does anyone have a nice PL400 Faceplate they don't need? And maybe a PL400 meter? I have a customer, you know the story.
 
got both voigts built ....with ports cut out..
backs cut and drilled....i started the bondo process...backs are ready to install...
went to metal shop for the aluminum plate...
speakers shopped...
will prime this weekend...
gotta find roll insulation...
thats a tough one

we met one day going on 6 years ago...we have been together ever since...only returned home for her clothes....we just seem to work together...
one of our least favorite restaurants....

i will leave the back removable until i am happy with the packing...i understand the sound can be adjusted with the damping...
but, i just bought a dsp...which is exactly what it is made for....compensate from different listening chambers and speaker placement, etc....
i have always wanted a set....but, i have a feeling i will not like it....the speaker guy assured me i will...he said a cross between horns and bass reflex....
the speaker is 35 to 20k....8" driver...i have the big 15" woofers in a 7 cubic foot box....that will be playing also...i looked up the bottom note on a bass guitar....is 39 hz...they may actually sound realistic....and i do have a set to compare them too....they are much more efficient than what i have....
i selected my speakers with about 92db at one watt at one meter....
these are nearly 96db at one watt at one meter....quite a bit more sensitive....i was told they play very loud....if pushed...
we shall see....all of this is just a big ole game anyway....to see who can spend the most money.....and spend the most time....messing with this...instead of listening to the music....
lol....
