or is it a state secret and you would have to kill me if you told me???
They get soldered onto the bridge rectifier. I think I have a photo that I can share if I can find it.

Looking good so far. Wiring was the hardest part for me. Grounds......

When you get to the "adding power transistors one row at a time and bringing it up on a variac" stage, take it slow, double/triple check everything......

Everything Kyle said. The quality of your wiring and ability to not make mistakes will be critical. The build can't be rushed.

Look closely at Joe's photo and figure out what's going on there with the wiring. Your rectifier should be built as a "work of art". Note the offset lug that establishes orientation. Note the transformer secondary connections and the green B+ and black B- to the storage caps. Note only one hole is in these lugs, yet it's well done. It takes planning and prepping it on the bench.
The other option which I learned from Glenn "Grapplesaw" is to drill extra holes in the lugs dimples for the snubber caps. I posted plenty of photos in my S1 upgrade thread. It's critical this part is done correctly. Run the B+ and - wires over the caps as I showed, don't jump the gun and cut the wires too short. Mock it up, then cut and install your ring terminals.
And remember, that rectifier gets a additional long run of 22 AWG or 16 AWG (I use 16) red wire from a transformer secondary connection to the DCP. This is clearly shown in the S1 upgrade photos. Note how it's run across and behind the cradle, then joins the main AC wire bundle.
Happy wire cutting! Take your time!

Also note Joe sent you .022 uF caps where he has .01 uF caps in the photo. We've been using .01 uF as snubbers, but I noticed my 700 came original with .022 uF, but only 2, not 4.
Maybe Joe's getting better numbers with the .022 uF. Perhaps this is his "state secret".

I switched to 0.022 uF caps as the only thing I use. The value does not matter all that much...
