i just added a small piece of 16ga green wire to the fused b+ out....
if i understand correctly....this is done only to the right hand backplane nearest the mounting position of the dcprotect....
and this board is now dedicated to the right side....

i think the red and white wires will be disconnected from the back plane and go from the light board to the dcprotect out...
for now...i will leave them as such...just in case i am wrong...lol
the yellow wires will go to j1 1 and j2 1 on the dc protect....
thanks for all of your help....i could not do it without this support....
but, of course you all know that too...
thanks

Your boards became dedicated R or L when you soldered in the wiring. R board has longer wiring to reach the fuses and buss bar
yes sir....i guess they were....lol
i just remember reading there were no more visual differences between the right and left boards in your documentation....

If Heathkit, PAIA, SWTPC, Dynaco, and so many other "kit" companies had Joe on their Design and QA teams, they'd still be in business.
WOAD makes some incredibly durable and well designed products.
thanks for keeping an eye on me too....i appreciate your concern and comments....
take care....

and yes....this is an impressive kit....

Gene, so your going to take your meter signals off the backplanes before the relay, with the red and white wires? Or are you going to unsolder those wires and run longer wires from the DCP to the connection on the LED board to drive the meters? Either way works, just thought you were concerned about those needle jumps and bumps at turn on or DC on the meters.
Your also going to need a long length of red wire for the AC run from the secondary connection at the rectifier to the DCP. This is the red AC wire that runs from the rectifier, behind the cradle, around the fuses, and across the top.
Your green B+ wire for the DCP looks good!

yes sir, i am concerned....earlier i was confused....however, i finally got it......
i will remove the white and red wires from the backplane (out1) and run the wire from the led board to the protected side of the dcprotect....
as i did with my stock 400....i have a long length of 22ga red wire...but not one piece of 16ga...
if i need 16ga....no big deal...i can just include it in my next order at the end of this week....
i want to stay consistent with the colors all of you use....so it does not complicate things....i have plenty of other colors 16ga that mr. joe sent me...
i do have the bigger rectifier....to install on the wopl amp...

Lots of wire! :) The correct size ring terminals for the storage cap screws and speaker jack studs at DCP, heat shrink, couple hundred zip ties, the proper bolts if your going to use those step washers on the transformer. Hot glue gun to replace the silicone they glued the meter bezels in with, you want to pull the meters and bezels to clean and paint, fuses of correct size and capacity as those 400s coming probably have automotive fuses in them, that's all I can think of now, you seem to have everything else.

i have tons of terminals, heat shrink, zip ties...several thousand bolts, star washers, hot melt glue gun...but only one stick of glue...i just got fuses from joe...and the ones in the 400 are not 32v...lol and a tube if silicone if needed...
i dont know what jack studs are....so maybe i am short a few jack studs....maybe a few cards short of a deck too!!!!
thanks george...
i will check with you before i place my order with joe...
