i understand....and thank you for your advice...you dont know how much i appreciate it...
i do not have a chassis here....it is in the transport process....it is however in costa rica....
that is why i did not have the heat sink for the bias transistor...i must admit, that i missed that...
there is a 4 fin and and 8 fin on the way to me...the 8 fin is working...the 4 fin is parts....
i will know what i will do when i see what i got...
i was just trying to build what i could until my stuff arrives....
i got the new heats sinks and put them on the bias transistors in the kit....
and extended the legs....both test good...
i will need other stuff too....
i ordered an extra dcp board
and will need 1 or 2 light boards and cap kits at the least....
i can always just ask joe to drop in a couple of bias transistors when i order....
main thing is to make as much progress as possible....as my life has an expiration date....lol

no markings on the pack....i am sure there is docs somewhere....i only have 34 files of docs....

Backplane kit has no Phoenix connectors. Only George uses them and he purchases them separately

Yup, and I got those last 22 AWG meter signal wires off the S2 backplanes today. I'll rewire those to the DCP.
Going to open the 700 Pro and do the same there. It just makes good common sense.

bunch of rain last night...


the year in my scenerio is from may 1 to end of april....this is because of the rainy season....which starts in may....
as you can see....it is wet....lots of local flooding all over the country....but, it happens every year....people dont worry to much....

i think i will get busy looking up and cutting wire this morning....to finish up the back planes....i am sure those 2 400s will be here this week....
and i can make a few decisions....wish the new chassis of joes came with fins...lol
oh well, i will just deal with it as it pops up....

seems i made a mistake on the bias transistor and installed it prematurely....it was too short so i had to remount it....i did have some new p style heat sinks from a repair kit i bought a while back....they are now installed and check out just fine....will probably order a couple more from joe when i get the other cap kits and light boards....i did not have my other units to rob for the clamps....i just jumped the gun....which is typical for gene....lol



got the work space all spic and span....and ready to install some leads....i would like to thank steve, joe, and george for keeping an eagle eye out for me....i certainly do appreciate it....

You know those 2N3405s won't work Gene?? Unless you substituted the 2N5088 devices in them. Not clear from your note what you did.

I always sand off the "2N3405" ink stamp on the P-straps so I don't confuse people (or myself).

yes sir, i removed the 3405s ... put them back in the parts bag....
replaced with 2n5088s.....installed on board....
tested after installation to make sure i did not hurt them adding the legs back...

i will probably replace them when i get up my next order from you....when the others get here
so i can take total inventory....

Need a green B+ wire from the top right of the RHS backplane to feed the B+ terminal on the DCP. Also, if your going to feed the meters after the DCP relay, then remove the small red wires at "Out 1" beside the yellow wires at top center on the backplane.

And make the left channel white and the right one red as the wire list in the instructions indicate...
