Wish I could hear it...
Wait till it’s all done. I can’t wait to take the lo-max in the house and WOPL Linda and Tim... I think the shops gonna sound good, the smaller space in the house will be obscene. You ever have a hankering to visit
Eastern Canuckistan, you got a place to stay

Talked to a couple “speaker guys” about the tuning and decided to go with the shorter ports which tested in at 34.5hz... I don’t play how can I say this... “urban” beats, so the slightly higher tuning will make the cabinet work wel in the range I intend to play it and really only sacrifice a tiny bit on the extreme low end. Just finished cutting all my port material to length and will install tomorrow. Need to get more paint as I just ran out of black.

But you won’t be able to get the “brown” note...
I think Trever, the jolly looking fellow standing next to the test cabinet in my shop would beg to differ. He was getting queasy with that cabinet and the two lo-max going! Add another 4x18” I bet he’d bail out of the shop!

Gonna call it a night and hit the hardware tomorrow for paint. Next big project will be the shelf to put them all on...

No such things as bad days, just bad moments

That "malady" is something I experienced when I worked for a big electronics chain. With me it was induced by competition car stereos, those that needed external power for all the amplifiers . When that time of year rolled around, vendors like Alpine, Pioneer and Clarion would set up their entrants inside the store, usually near the front, the largest open area.

When those systems were demoed at high volume, the extreme bass output from the subwoofers caused me to feel nausious. There was no urge whatsoever for me to sit inside one of those cars with the stereo on. Just the opposite, stand far away.

I was unaware of any other staff member experiencing the same thing which made me think that sensation was uncommon. Sounds like your bud Trevor has the same sensitivity.

Looks like it's about time to cash in them cans and get a little extra dough for new full ones...
The bottle return depot it “closed due to coronAIDS”.

Lee, years ago Tignish got gained a bad rap on the island due to a hockey rivalry with other towns. Rough games and lots of fights. Just a few years ago one fella was interviewed by CBC news, live, when the reporter asked what he did or what it was like in Tignish or something he answered, “we like to fish, fuck and fight”! I’ll try to find the clip!

Think I gotta help Trever for a bit today fixing the deck at his place. Least I can do for all his help with the speakers. Hopefully glue in the last two ports after and sling more paint. I also picked up the lumber for the new shelf. Can work on that whole paint dries.

Friend Scotty making some trim rings this evening. Got the last cabinets ports glued in and put a radius on the three whose ports were dry. Got a few friends coming by this evening for some food and beverages, will probably paint the faces of the three that are ready.
