DENON DP 1500 FOUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It doesn't look like it was veneer. The finish is burned off in places...

Lee: You didn't drum on about your old Denon, just the odd mention of it in reverence. It's like being reacquainted with a child out of wedlock some 20 years, later.

Nando.

Tear it down to the plinth and do what you can with the wood. Make it shiny, and put it back together. You could probably find a cover online or have one made for it if you really wanted one.

Have a look through the cartridge thread as well, you might see something you like, for that arm.

Id be damn happy to come across that table in that shape. Seems like you have a lot of fond memories with it too.

Amen Nando!!

Just plugged it in, platter is smooth, 33 and 45 both work and the speed adjust works, no light in the strobe section though...Cueing mechanism works just fine!!

Better pics, broke out the camera...

I'd like to find a stylus....

The plinth needs cosmetic work, and the dust cover can be replicated. Nice find!

We are doing one of those ....." throw out everything we haven't used in 20 years" phase, and Jani has gotten everything out in the light, and we BOTH thought she had pitched it........can't believe it's still here!!!!

I remember the whole spec system sittin in my living room for about a month once
seems you didnt want to leave it in the alley house for some reason and you didnt want to leave it a karen and stephs
dont remember why you where gone, maybe haulin water or something

Everything under the platter looks good, underneath looks good except the isolators are too squishy...
