All about Cans!

Those might be a little more difficult to source replacement parts for, Miles. But, it will be certainly nice to see them restored by you. Don't forget to combine the SE L 40s with your Pioneer SX-424 receiver for a neat retro picture.

Nando.

This weekend the Pioneer SE-L 40's arrived, which were given to me:

It's clear these can's will need a lot more attention than all the AKG's I did.......

There's no hurry, so let's start to look out for the missing and worn out parts of it.

A wee bit rougher than mine..

So I just listened to the Spoonman link in the article, on my Sony phones. I can honestly say I didnt find it all that interesting. Sounded like Spoonman to me. Maybe I need to get some Beats to really enjoy it.

Is this just a marketing ploy? Apparently you can get true 11.1 sound on "ANY" phones. Does that seem right? It would be interesting to hear from someone with a real surround setup and their thoughts on this 11.1.

At least... A Classic!

This one was missing in my AKG collection:

The MKI 600 Ohm version of the AKG K240 Monitor series, and the same one Nando has.

Will pick it up tomorrow.

I too have the Akg 240 Studio monitor : simply natural .
Besides I have a Koss ESP9 ( electrostatic ) : superb but heavy .
I use an another integraded amp ( Pioneer A 207 R ) connected to C4000 to drive them .
Ciao

Sippy-C-cups, jugs, cans...It's not quite what you were expecting, Tony.

Nando.

Today's the day for the release. $80 for that deluxe package is BS though ...

What does 11.1 have to do with HEADPHONES anyway? Are there little bitty ants in slave labor putting 12 drivers in each cup?

Good save, Miles. That's more like what Tony gets his inspiration from: cans on cans.

It's nice to hear you picked up a pair of the classic AKG K240 Monitors. Your AKG headphone collection has grown.

Nando.

Nice surprise!!

Even better, Miles. I didn't know about an Anniversary Edition of K 240 headphones.
