Those might be a little more difficult to source replacement parts for, Miles. But, it will be certainly nice to see them restored by you. Don't forget to combine the SE L 40s with your Pioneer SX-424 receiver for a neat retro picture.

So I just listened to the Spoonman link in the article, on my Sony phones. I can honestly say I didnt find it all that interesting. Sounded like Spoonman to me. Maybe I need to get some Beats to really enjoy it.
Is this just a marketing ploy? Apparently you can get true 11.1 sound on "ANY" phones. Does that seem right? It would be interesting to hear from someone with a real surround setup and their thoughts on this 11.1.
I too have the Akg 240 Studio monitor : simply natural .
Besides I have a Koss ESP9 ( electrostatic ) : superb but heavy .
I use an another integraded amp ( Pioneer A 207 R ) connected to C4000 to drive them .
