Those CV's won't go to 40?
After hookin up this sub. I'm thinkin the guy that did the mod. Set these crossovers so they run more like a 2 way. I think he focused on the overall midrange because they are nice crisp great image. Vocals are centered they sound amazin but I've been blaming the brightness on this basment but that's my thought on this. I remember him sayin something about adjusting the woofer to like 20hz lower than the mids so they blend... All I know is now it sounds awesome as shit as a team. I could be way off base here but only my stoned thoughts!!

Crossover is where it starts rolling off the signal. The Phase is for what Joe said...IF the pot is detended. If it's a continous pot I would say it's for tuning the sub to your regular speaks.

Joe, due to crossover differences couldn't an adjustable phase pot be used to compensate for phase lag in the main speak ctossover?

Yes, the phase knob will adjust for many system things such as placement of the sub in the room and the phasing with your mains. Just adjust the phase knob to where the bass sounds maximum, that means that your mains and the sub are working in phase and in unison with the placement of each in the room (compensate for standing waves and reflections)

Set the xover to where your mains say that they give out. If the bottom of your mains is 50Hz for example, set the sub for 50

Makes sence. Gonna take some work to get it tuned in. I think I need to get it away from wall and in center of room. It's a unvented 12in sub in a 13x13x13 box with a 1000w amp. It's like a bomb lol
