lost in my own world
My local record shop owner relocated to his cousin's bookstore in a trendy urban shopping area after a fire last year, making it much harder for me to get to than just walking down the street from campus which was my usual. But I got a bee up my ass yesterday and drove down there to see what was new. As luck would have it, the only parking place within two miles was right in front of the bookstore.

It was a good omen.

Three rarities, all in mint condition:

The Canned Heat is an Italian remaster, unopened until this morning, the Commander Cody is a great live recording by Wally Heider Studios mobile truck from the Armadillo in Austin, TX in 1973 and is much, much better sonically than any of their studio stuff and it is in mint condition, and finally, Roy Buchanan's Hot Wires which is also in mint condition. Amazing music on all three. A nice way to spend the morning...
Damn!!!!!!! SCORE......... I'm jealous lol. All 3 are the shit

PDQ Records here in Tucson AZ is amazing, they had a 2,000sq foot building called the 'Annex' that I used to haunt every other weekend when I DJ'd at the local gay bar, smashed Led Zep, the theme to 'Green Acres' just to watch the locals drop their cocktails...then slam some obscure Grace Jones in the face for good of the homeless and the free....

One of the long time employees call the other day to say he has several boxes just for me!!! I said no more fucking ABBA!!!!!!

I picked up another copy of Led Zeppelin - Celebration Day that is open mint since my set is still sealed LOL. I also bagged the Soundtrack to the Song Remains the Same 4lp 180gr boxset. I have a mint UK 1st press of G 'n R Appetite for Destruction w/ banned robot cover and unused sticker sheet insert coming in the mail on a trade probably Monday

What else did I get... oh yeah, a couple 100 minty WLP's (late 40's through 50s stuff) and a decent pile of mainly player quality Black Sabbath, Beatles, Deep Purple, Frank Zappa, Led Zeppelin etc... it's all for sale  Some already sold on AK already but I have another pile to post including some very nice condition psyche lps

Ben, did your Love Gun come with all the inserts? (glossy photo innersleeve, paper gun, "bang" papers and merchandise sheet). That's a great package when it's complete! Same thing goes for Rock n Roll Over and The Originals!

Damn nice scores Ben and Ron you should start putting up your list for ak here also so I can see what you've been finding..

I would Jason but what if someone posts sold here and at the same time it gets sold there LMAO, it would be an uncomfortable situation

I might be interested in the EQ Jason if you don't plan to use it. The Akai is a decent RTR, working/serviced they bring at least $200. The other name rings a bell but not right now, the bell just went dumb LMAO

This eq works great. It really sounds good. Gonna take some playing with but a 10 band.
