ESS AMT 1C

I have extra chassis, transformers and stuff. Skratch is running some one-hole-in-the-middle faceplates so it's not a problem to do...we can cascade a complete set of backplanes for single channel use...wanna do one anyway...

I am more than onboard for some mono blocks, Lee. Are you still trying to put some things together for RMAF this October?
 
Yes, won't be able to get yours done by then though, I'll be lucky to get the monsters done...
 
ESS Tempest now up for consideration

Found out another local seller has a pair of ESS Tempest that need refoam but are cheap. Whatcha think?
 
Shoulda had the info of the local auction to you that day but then again the woofers had lost too much foam and I simply could not try out consigned items like that. I missed out on the Sony STR-7800SD, the Sony turntable needing a fix I probably couldn't afford and the TC-K4A cassette as well but I got the cassette deck at a local shop later for $10.

The guy that won the Tempest Classics that night knew what he was getting.
 
If I wasn't awash in speakers I would go for the Tempest though.
