To check for a bad meter switch meter wires...

It was bad. Put one of the old ones in and it's working... A little sticky but it breaks out of that at medium volume.

Hate to ask for a new meter... damn thing is done, otherwise LOL.

Other meter measured 1.2 MEGS... yeah that aint right.. I dunno maybe I might take another crack.. I think in this case the needle might be running up against the clear plexi front. Did someone say they drilled a small hole in the top and (carefully) pushed the needle into shape? It's a bitch rtv'ing.. un-rtv'ing.. lather rinse and repeat...

Jer, just keep Silvara until everything is right and enjoy her, it would suck to have to ship her back and foirth for a replacement meter and the old ones a'int gonna cut it since the amp's will be side by side. It would look pretty obvious one meter was not doing it's thing right. When she comes home. it will be for good (provided of course I don't blow them up LMFAO!!!!!!

She sounds AWESOME though, SQ was pretty good w/ the vid, what did you use to record it? My camera gets overdriven if I am trying to record at high SPL's

Used my Galaxy S3 to record it. Yeah since I got that (had a sucky blackberry before) I haven't needed to wrestle the Canon from she bear.

Yeah let me see 'bout that trick premiumplus did... might get lucky as I swear it's all frigging mechanical here.. lol

Yeah, I felt it was not good to advertise the fact that they were in my garage so I deleted it. Will do with the meter, thanks Lee

That Handley 400 is supposed to work. I plugged it in with nothing hooked up and then unplugged it. About a minute later (after shutoff), the meters went up to halfway and then slowly went back down. What is that? Is that the delayed thump that is talked about so much?

Ok, harvested a meter from the Handley 400. They have a line of fuses going across the top of the meters LMAO. Never noticed them like that in either of my 400s even before they were FC'd. I am assuming the meter connectors on Silvara are the ones with the metal loop at the end that goes over the posts of the meters like the 700Bs. This is actually fun even though just taking baby steps understanding how stuff goes together

Time to get out and look at the Van before the T-storms hit
