Ron's Blackie to Whitie Conversion

It is a lot easier to use the clamp kits provided and make a new bus bar.

Joe that doesn't solve my original issue - the caps were just too high, and between the power switch and the meters something was begging to short out in a big way, eventually. I did use the clamp kits provided.

Hack saws... they're good to have. These caps will be "low riders"...

Shit... yo Lee! Got no TO3 screws ya didn't send me.... What is the exact size of those so I can drop by tractor supply tomorrow??

6-32 x 1/2" stainless steel pan head Phillips. Lee likes to use the socket cap screw version Jer.

After some chop bustin with Lee, I figured out what his beef with the purple wire was... lol.

Joe I must have half-read the TB on the pad 3 wire move to B-. It's applicable to 400's as well, but only in the full comp mode. I'll be relocating that wire shortly when I return with the screws... :thumbright:

Does Sally need this checked Jer? What does that do anyway? I was just going to pull the Big Bitch out and put Sally in

She's coming along nice Jer! Can't wait to see her flashing her new meters w/ her pearly whites driving your D9's, I am stoked!!! :glasses8:

It might... I believe Joe or Lee explained it in one of the other builds, basically I THINK (memory sux) that if you lose one of the fuses/rails that if it's still in the original position .. you're going to lose a lot more than just the fuse. Hmm.. maybe I already did that on Sally, I can't recall. But HELL.. if it's been in YOUR possession for this long, it's probably fine LOL (giggin' ya, ya damn decibel hound!!).

Anywhoo... we're getting close. Boards are in, outputs are nailed and ready to be soldered in. Did my "post board install" inspection with the meter and we're good to continue..

Well.. until later.. got a lawn to mow and and old pool to drag out to the trash... hehe

Yep, I have had her at screaming levels many times and never lost a fuse. Looks great so far!

Seriously tho yeah you might want to check it. See the purple wires on the very right hand bottom corners? Those wires should not be on the same horizontal series of pads, and instead should be where they're at. Be careful!
