So, you're going to bid on the 39 dollar one? I'll lay off it then. I saw that one too. Hard to ell what kind of condition it is in though..but you could use yours to mek a really nice looking and working one..

I HATE FEDEX.

After all Larry's work they obviously dropped the Yamaha K-1000 and ruined it. I hope Larry can do something for it. I may have to buy another unit to try to get ONE that is fully working and not bent all to s*&)//

I have mine for parts. You are not having luck with the Yamaha. LOL Sorry I know it isn't funny. It can be fixed.

Larry

Ps that is a good tape. So get it out and listen to it.

Dang, that sucks, get a Sharpie and dab it on the corner, you won't notice it at all. And it's not just FedEx, they all do it.

Did Larry pck it with 'peanuts'??

That's really unfortunate in seeing a deck damaged like that. With stuwee's speaker, I was worried about shipping it, so I essentially built another enclosure out of one inch thick hard styrofoam to encapsulate the speaker. I hope stuwee's speaker arrives intact!

It is pretty smashed up. It looks worse in real life than the pictures. I've attached a few more to look at.

I do think Larry can rebuild it using another chassis though. I THINK the transport and all the stuff inside is OK, but Larry will have to give a report. I did not attempt to open the deck or anything until it was inspected by the FEDEX people. I did file a claim, and hopefully they will pay...I only claimed $125.00, which is honestly about what I think I have in the unit, but we'll see what they say..

Did you have insurance on it Larry? I probably should have tried to claim more....but maybe too late now?

Anyway here are some more pics...

I got the other one for 39.99. My top cover has some scratches in it. My face plate looks new. We will be good to go. Are they sending it back to me?

I was not at the office when FEDEX came by, so I'm not sure, but I'll find out tomorrow. That is what I requested...I'm glad you got the one for $39.00. I'll bid on the next one that comes up...If you see one, let me know...I'll take any fantastic Yamaha I can find...I REALLY want one now that it seems almost impossible for me to get one that works or is in one piece......

Ebay emails me when a 1000,1200, or 2000 comes up for auction. In my garage I have a 1020,1200,2000 and a 960 and the 1000 coming. Parts decks I have 3 or 4 sitting here under my bench. We will get yours going. So I do have some parts here. We will be good to go on yours.

Larry

PS did you get the tape out?

No, I was afraid to mess with it, especially until FEDEX di their inspection and gave me the go ahead. It will either be coming back to you, or I will get it back, so we will get that tape...The door on the deck is jammed shut. I was really afraid to mess with it...

A very good 2 head is a Nak LX-3. They can be had pretty cheap. Or a LX-5 which is a 3 head. Both very nice decks. If you want to go the Nak route. I don't mind 2 heads at all.

Guess what was sitting on my door step last night. My wife found it. No I haven't looked at it. I have so much stuff to do I can't walk around my garage. When I get the TT done I will start on it.
