I really liked my Thorens and kinda wish I had not sold it now.They are out there. I recommend Thorens but the Audio Technica AT-LP120XUSB is a pretty damn good table and available new.

its a sickness!!Gene, I am running an old Pioneer PL-514 right now in my office with a Grado cart on it and believe me it sounds great. You really don't have to sink a whole ton into one to have a nice decent sound. I have nicer TT but I have not even bothered because I just do not play LP's that much. BUT, and in the same breath I am just now getting off the net looking at Thorens tables again... lol.
The 165 is a beautiful table, it may not have the motor clutch for spin up, and the sub platter/bearing may not be as heavy duty, none the less it is a fine sounding turntable.It was only a 165 but I bought it right and fixed it up myself.
