-15 degrees here as I type this. Got to -17 when I woke up this morning.
Wind isn't bad but still it is -35 with the wind chill.
All schools are closed again today. This should be the end of the really cold stuff.... big heat wave coming, we may get to 0.

Listened to Echoes as I usually do at night. Then with fresh batteries in the remote for the tuner an arm’s reach away, I have listened to 8 stations in the last two hours playing a wide variety of rock music we used to hear on the radio. Been rather enjoyable hearing those deeper cuts and some regular “classic rock” tunes.

I’ve heard It’s A Beautiful Day and ah-ha and now Alphaville. Money was playing opposite On the Turning Away. Billy Idol, Fleetwood Mac, Squeeze, Steely Dan, Eric Clapton, The Doors, Rosanne Cash, Peter Framton, Joe Walsh and more.

Better than streaming because these are unrelated and therefore might not get ‘algorithmed’ in a playlist and I for sure would not pick what came next.

This is the best area I have lived for FM listening.

WCUR, WGLA, WXPN, WVDU these are ‘college’ stations

WOGL, WMGK, WBEN, WRFF
these are commercial stations, talking all morning with ads but seems like just music in the wee hours overnight, weeknights.

Guess I’ve been starved for tunes with Football Sunday, clean house Monday and wash clothes, make beds Tuesday. Gonna be tunes Wednesday when I get up in a few hours.
