Just got a copy of the old 'standard', Dark Side of the Moon, but the Alan Parson's 4.1 mix DVDA.
That took me back a few years.
I remember.... back in '71, hangin' with the boys.

I think dark side was the first album I played when I first got a PL400...

I think dark side was the first album I played when I first got a PL400...

The first thing I played after completing my 400 was Joy Division’s “Heart And Soul,” track 1, side 2 of the “Closer” LP (2007 Rhino remaster). I DID NOT EXPECT THE BASS TO SOUND LIKE THAT! Marvelous! And this was an album I’ve played for decades!

Finished the knobs on the Grafonola. One of the originals was broken, but I have a friend with a lathe. These are poplar, very hard wood that didn’t want to stain. I had to use wood dye instead. They could probably be a bit darker.View attachment 49940
