The instrumental jazz funk here is bordering on smooth like a lot of jazz in the 70s and 80s. Lots of CTI regulars including Eric Gale, Steve Gadd, Hubert Laws, Phil Woods, Mike Brecker, Randy Brecker. Ron Carter's bass playing shines above the smooth jazz arrangements and makes it worth the listen.
