This is interesting, a gifted pop songwriter moves beyond bubblegum and puts out a record with more introspective folk rock and country content - backed by the Wrecking Crew and well produced. Wasn't sure what I'd get but I like it.
Marc Benno - Ambush
(1972, A&M) Monarch symbol in the deadwax
w/ Booker T Jones, Bonnie Bramlett, Ray Brown, Jim Keltner, Carl Radle, Bobby Keys, and Jesse Ed Davis. Benno played on the sessions for the LA Woman album and did the Asylum Choir LPs with Leon Russell in the late 60s.
The Rolling Stones - December's Children (And Everybody's)
(1965, London) MONO 1966 issue with a boxed "London" on the label
inspired by continuing to read Keith Richards book - Life. I'm at the part where he describes a road trip in Feb 67 from Paris to Tangier in his Bentley. What an adventure, great stories.
