I think Zappa was born irreverent......Can you imagine if the world just found out about Zappa 3 years ago and he was in his prime???

Ya! I think I would go "raise me a field of dental floss" if that happened.

"Weasels ripped my flesh" is a great album

The Tragically Hip ~ "At the Hundreth Meridian" , from Fully Completely

Lee, your next road trip needs this song played as you drive across your beautiful state :iroc:

I think he would be shunned and ignored now Lee. His production talent would not be appreciated. Even our age group either love or hate of Zappa. You really have to listen to appreciate what he puts on vinyl...can't have it playing in the background and that's how most listen to music now.

For me...I think it would be a trip!!

I got three more Zappa lp's from Ron that I haven't heard in a long while...can't wait to get at them...but not tonite....

Craig, I'll check it out....

Dave, You might be right, even in the freeflyin 70's folks didn't know how to take him....

I've been a bit down lately and, always turn to my Girl Lady T, Tenna Marie, ever since 1978, she has made me feel..understood...amd many, many things. I hope she knows that even after she passed, she still makes me feel better :love5:, anyhoo, 'Baby I'm your fiend'... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UOKIKHF5y6s

I don't think anyone has ever sounded so sexy singing the word 'bourbon' evva!! God damn I miss you girlfriend :love9:

Although Zappa wasn't a big drug user, many of his listeners were (I did see him light a doober on stage at the Baltimore Civic Center, though...). They don't make LSD the way they did in those days, don't think he'd be as influential as he was if the time was shifted.

Ahhhh, LSD, the good 'ol days!! can you believe the crap that is out there now? These poor kids have an option between shit and shit..you have to buy a test kit just to keep yourself safe from God knows what-the-fuck they put out there, 'they' being China and India...

Spinnin' Shpongle ~ 'The Museum of Consciousness' in honor of my druggie daze!!!! :hello1: :shaking2: :hello1:Ahhhh!!!!!!!!!!
