what are you listening to?

I got nothin against CD's. My second choice next to vinyl. The albums do sound pretty sweet though.

Booker T. & The M.G.'s - Melting Pot
(1971, Stax) Monarch symbol / MASERTCRAFT Memphic HC in the deadwax, mastered by Howard Craft

tasty. love how track 1 starts off with a sort of soul stew with rhythm, guitar laying a base, then Booker T.'s organ comes boiling over the top. Actually every track sounds like this.

Hey SLF, you have some great vinyls there. How many LPs do you have?

If this thread wasn't 11,000 pages long, I'd go look for it, haha.

Ah, it's a modest collection compared to many including some here I suspect. Here's a picture from a few years ago of the main listening room - about 1/4 of the collection in the 5x5 Expedit shelves here. I have 2 upstairs bedrooms (- the son and daughter's rooms now that they are out of the house) completely filled with 40+ boxes of records and several full shelves which I'm slowly sorting through and de-duping. and ~1000 in basement shelves.
