Polyrock! Talking Heads-ish art rock from early 1980s. Band formed by Philip Glass. 2 LPs and 1 EP, then fell off the edge of the earth.

I wish I'd heard before yesterday that RT is touring and he did a couple of shows in the area last weekend.

Yes, all great artists but a few tracks include backing orchestra/string arrangements which I'm not a fan of. The killer solos are brief moments of relief from the schmaltzy arrangements.

Gene Clark - White Light
(1971, A&M) Monarch symbol in the deadwax

Nice. picks up where he left with the killer songs he wrote with The Byrds. Great playing and sound quality on this record, particularly like Chris Etheridge's bass.

Swap [sic]

Swap (and there should be one of those little circles over the "a") is two men, two women, two Brits, and two Swedes, playing great acoustical music. A blend of Celtic and Scandinavian traditions. I have three of their albums.

Ott--"Skylon".....On the audition 700....damn I gotta get an FC WOPL back in the house. The Pig is at Tim's doing some Bi-Amp experiments on the Soniphase for a couple weeks..

You guys that heard this 700 weren't hearing what these amps are capable of....it is a bit harsh...

Prometheus---"Spike" ....while watching MNF......kinda weird sometimes....

a fun record but I'm skipping over Taking Care Of Business because I probably don't ever need to hear that song again. Recorded at Kaye-Smith Studios, Seattle.

Second that. I wanna kill something 2 notes into that....BUT...when I put on "Not Fragile" I gotta crank the knob on that one...

Alton & Hortense Ellis at Studio One

One of my all time favorite albums. Great soulful ska/rocksteady/soul sounds throughout, with both trading vocals. Alton is deservedly a giant, but Hortense needs more attention, wonderful voice.
